“I'd like to write a longer review, but my H4 fell off the clip after my second shot on the first round using it, and I was unable to find it :( Hopefully my credit card loss insurance will cover the cost. I like the idea, I like the fact that no subscription is required, but the clip magnet is just not strong enough. If the loss insurance does cover it, I may purchase another one and see if I can keep in in my pocket instead of using the belt clip. It will make it a bit more cumbersome to use though.”

“I had to return the first device as it wouldn't find the course yardages but the second one has been excellent. It's incredible value for money and a great insight into your game. I think a round score would be a good addition to the product.”

“The hand held is very accurate and easy to use. but I don't like that I have to tap the club to it to record the distance. I fact I thought the older version you didn't need to tap the club”

Hi Robert, Yes with H4 you've always needed to tap the club to the device to record a shot.

“Everything about the H4 GPS is spot on, as described. Price is very affordable compared to the competition being 4X as much. My only struggle is remembering to tap my club that I'm playing. By the 2nd game I got better at remembering but still missed a few clubs. We'll see if I can get into the routine by the 3rd game, yet to be played. I highly recommend it!”

“I don't like dedicated golf watches, so the H4 is a nice substitute. All in all, the Shot Scope System is really cool and you get tons of data and there's NO SUBSCRIPTION! PRO's: 1. NO SUBSCRIPTION 2. Easily sits in my pocket. I take it out when I'm over my ball, tap the club, ready to go. 3. Long battery life - if I had to, I could get 2 and maybe even 3 rounds in one charge. 4. Tracks my shots perfectly every time. 5. Displays GPS yardage, front, back and middle of the green which is great. Con's: 1. I wish the screen was backlit, or some kind of backlit option 2. When you "pin collect" (which means after you put in, you hold the H4 next to the flag over the cup and push one of the 4 buttons cooresponding to the number of putts you took), you need to be very particular to push the right button. I wish I could just hold it next to the flag, have it buzz and that woudl be that. (It shoudl know how many putts i took because i tap the putter on it for each putt) 3. I wish it was slightly thinner, than it is. 4. I wish it were USB C, instead fo the proprietary clip. Those are minor cons compared to what you get. Especially when Arcos and Garmin charge you a lot each year FOR YOUR OWN DATA! Go Shot Scope!”

“The H4 has been a game changer on my golf improvement journey - over 18 months HC reduced from 36 to 24.5 and still dropping - I enables me to know my club distances, shot directions/ patterns as well as highlighting performance related to handicap range, strengths & weaknesses. I keep in pocket and is part of my pre shot routine. Sometimes I miss putting data or occasional shot but I do not use to record score. Data geek so perfect for me!”
