The G6 works fine on its own. Unfortunately, adjusting the time does not work, even after repeated attempts.

If you are after basic functionality without paying a monthly subsrcription then this watch is great value. Very easy to use and the face is big enough to see without any problems. I have a very small wrist and this watch fits perfectly and does not look or feel bulky under an outer layer. Great choice of strap colours which again are very easy to interchange.

The G6 is good for general yardage guidance but accessing the additional features is not convenient for the user. Whilst a map of the hole in play is available there is significant menu manipulation required to get it to display. In most instances its more trouble than its worth. Would like to see the map as the main display with the yardages to front /middle back at a touch.

Despite being sent a new watch the 'automatic hole advance' feature is better but still not working consistently! This means I don't have confidence in the watch and have to keep monitoring if this feature is working and when not having to distract me/ my concentration on the golf as I have to manually move the hole advance. Also the watch time feature is good but somewhat dim to view, could be brighter.

The functionality of the G6 is great but the charger connection lets it down. The port on the back the watch loses connectivity due to sweat and dirt from the course. It is difficult to clean and I am reduced to having to ensure the connector wire is in a specific position to charge the device. Disappointing!

To be fair, the watch performs as expected most of the time. But it has one flaw. My home course is a 9 hole course with alternative tees for the second 9. The watch refuses to recognise the back nine. The shotscope technical team have been very quick to respond to my query but despite several attempts to rectify the issue it still does not recognise the fact that I am playing eg the 14th and not the 5th and record it as a par 4 instead of a par 3. The watch has worked perfectly on other courses I've played but this one fault is annoying . Other people do not seem to have this issue with other brands.

Hi Howard, Yes as it's a 9 hole course repeated twice and all the holes are the same, the system keeps the same holes and pars for the back 9. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by that.

I bought the G6 to replace my ageing Tomtom., and I must say I'm very pleased. It's much better looking and more wearable off the course - especially as it comes with 2x straps. While on the course it's functions, though basic (which is what I wanted), are excellent. The screen is clear and bright, the yardage is accurate and the greens/hazard indications are great. My only gripe is that the course loading could be quicker.

The device was delivered without any operational instructions and programming details. When operated on the course and activated on the first tee it takes over 10 minutes to locate and download the course details. I was unfamiliar with the device menu and the shotscope website app did not help at all. Once activated, on the advice of fellow golfers, it did function reasonably well...sometimes delaying the change from hole to hole.
