Easy to set up and works great, but sometimes just stops working and won't record any shots. Sometimes switching it between modes or clubs seems to help but not always. Perhaps a firmware update is needed? Just using on my garage net setup so far.

Based on the price you pay, the LM1 is adequate. I found ball speed numbers to be in the ballpark with high end launch monitors. Carry distance and club head speed were variable and I often got Smash Factor numbers over 1.55, which cannot be possible. So I’m assuming club head speed numbers are low if ball speed seems somewhat accurate. I also think the unit needs to be closer than you think. It recommends 4-5 feet but I still felt like it didn’t register consistently at that distance. That was probably the biggest issue, getting shots to be recognized by the unit. About 25% of the time it did not register a shot. Also, in cloudy conditions, it seemed to do worse in registering shots compared to sunny conditions. Overall, it’s an interesting little unit. To get a general idea of ball speed, it’s probably decent. To use it as a barometer of carry distance and club head speed, I wouldn’t trust it that much. Using it for speed training would probably be good.

The LM1 is ideal for the range before a round to make sure you are hitting your numbers and confirming club lengths for the day
