“It's the official one for a good reason. Thermal pads are great, plops right on without interfering much with other ports. It's a bargain with what you get, honestly, probably a no brainer to pick up one with a Pi 5 if you aren't getting a heatsink case instead.”
“At ths price the active cooler is a 'no brainer' - more performance and more reliability. The fins are going to do most of the work until you start to press the Pi quite hard, then the fan kicks in. It's pretty quiet, although it fires up briefly on start-up, until the fan control code is active and stops it.”
