“I was shocked how good this display looked. It does take quite a while to update so i would not use it for projects where you need moving graphics or anything. But man for static images this looks just so good. Also great job on the pcb design the art on the back looks so cool.”
“What a fantastic piece of tech! It arrived very carefully packaged (no foam, mind you!) and I was able to get it up in running with only minor modifications to the code I used for an existing Inky Impression 5.7". The display is crisp, the update time is much faster than for the Impression-- despite having 7x the pixels. As always, the Pimorni Python library for their tech is easy to install, easy to use, and comes with a few demos.
It goes make an impressive crackle when the screen updates, and for some reason it only has six colors to the Impression's seven (orange was dropped) but that does not seem to impact the color dithering of images. I'd buy more if I had the need!”
