Build quality is good and works as intended, but the best is their customer service. My pack came with a single missing standoff, and when I raised it to them, they sent a new bag of parts immediately, no questions asked. Would buy again.

I really like this - it's a quick (relatively) inexpensive way to add NVMe storage. Unlike the official HaT, it keeps the GPIO pins available, and doubles up as a handy base for the Pi to sit on. It's very good.

I have 3 of these on Pi5's and not missed a beat. Easy to set up with little knowledge of Linux.

I've bought NVMe Base to set up a Home Assistant with a bigger ROM. It connected to the Raspberry Pi 5 with no problems, but the PCI flex cable was a little finicky, and I had to reconnect it once before it worked. I don't think the base is compatible with any widely available Raspberry cases without heavy modification, so keep that in mind. Overall, the base seems well-designed and well-put together, and the packaging feels reliable enough to send by post, for example.

The NVMe Base for the Raspberry Pi 5 was easy to assemble and worked perfectly on the first try. The "kink" in the PCIe FFC (flat flexible cable) makes it easy to switch thye SD card even after the Pimoroni 5 base is assembled on the Raspberry Pi 5. The NVMe stick can be accessed/swapped by removing four small screws. I'm still waiting for someone to start selling a simple, easy to assemble and maintain case for the Raspberry P 5 / Pimoroni 5 base assembly.
