I am using it with the suggested Crucial P3 Plus and there were no issues getting it working. The instructions on the site (step 2) should state "Install the OS with the rpi imager", not format the drive (assuming you want to boot from it). “Updated the PI firmware and booted straight off a Samsung 980 500G nvme SSD. Has been working under heavy use since first boot absolutely flawlessly. Would highly recommend.
Only drawback is it no longer fits in the official case, which is clearly documented and wasn't a surprise to me, nor an issue as it's just sat on a rack shelf for now till I find a better mount”
