Two weeks delivery time to Czech Republic. Other than that, everything is quicker on RPi5, now :)

The board is 5star but I have one problem with it I like to have a bit longer cable. to have a bit more space between pi 5 and base. also I use Edatec Open Heatsink Case and it fits so that I use only top part and even then fit is minimal. I started thinkig on a case where pi and base are sitting on side and at 90 degree angle a bit of the surface then air flows from bottom to top by convection

2nd Base for second pi5. Much easier to install a second time. All about checking that the ribbon cable is carefully and properly seated and latched. This time using a 4 TB SSD with a partition for Ubuntu and a partition for a ZFS file system. Hit the MBR limit this time so needed to format as GUID partition. This meant using a more manual method of installing the Ubuntu image on the ssd. All good though and data is flying off the SSD. Love the combo of pi5 and NVMe base.

amazing piece of kit. Makes my little pi5 rig super fast. Its also super neat and tidy aswell and can still access the sdcard for multiboot if needed.

I bought the NVMe base to create a NAS and a Crucial P3 M.2 with a whopping 4TB. After formatting and setting up GPT, ext4, the SSD was able to go into operation without any problems. Copying over 1.5TB of data in one go was no problem. The server runs with NFS. Top!
