“A brilliantly designed product, the fan works well even when fitted inside the official raspberry pi 4 case (I might need to drill extra holes in the case for ventilation). The default fan settings in software triggers the fan on when 65 degrees C is hit, and quickly brings it down to 55 degrees C before switching off. The RGB led and manual on/off switch is a nice touch also.”
“This is not the first that I have had of these Fan Shims. I find them excellent for keeping the Pi4 cool. My only criticism is that the nuts and bolts supplied are too big and the fan does not sit squarely above the cpu. I file the flanges flat on the fan and use 2mm nuts and bolts - perfect”
