“Keeps the pi as cool as you need it under normal load. Gets a bit warm when overclocking and you might need something with an integrated heatsink if under a constant heavy load but for normal use it does the job.”
“A bit noisy and loose on the GPIO pins. It do work, but I much prefer passive cooling with the FLIRC case. The fan will keep going if you shutdown the PI but still get power through the power supply.
I appreciate the product for its educative purpose more than its cooling efficiency.”
“Building the fan shim was fairly straight-forward using the relevant tutorial video. Fit nicely onto my PI (which is in a Coupé 4 case.) I had read some reviews that mentioned noise from the fan - so was pleasantly relieved to find I could not hear anything when it was whirring around at full speed.”
