Great screen, resolution, sufficient touchscreen. I've had issues with the touchscreen on the new Pi 3 B+ but apart from that it is a great screen for your Pi. If you want a protective case the `Pibow PiTFT+` fits *JUST* and protects it a fair bit.

Since there is no future for a Ubuntu hand-held device, this HyperPixel display with a portable LiPo source on a RPi0 W in a thoughtfully designed case that has a camera slot would be my "dream" gadget (at least for now). The RPi0W, LiPo, HyperPixel and PiCamera are in the bag, what about a matching case (from Treasure Tech for Tinkerers)?

At last ! Fantastic product ! This was what I though at first after powering this screen on my PI3 even if I noticed some dead pixels in "black" lines on this very new device. I though "don't worry be happy" as it was just at the top of the screen. But very rapidly and without any damage caused by me, numerous black lines appeared in the middle. It seems that the pixels technology of this device is not reliable in the time.

This display is awesome, it comes in a good box and it has a really high resolution and in most aspects, it is the best GPIO display so far, there are only 2 things that I didn't like: it occupies all the GPIO pins and in 3 wide horizontal bands the touchscreen doesn't work and even if they are thick this is a bit annoying.

First startup on Pi Zero was really nice, really sharp like retina displays. Installation was very easy, not like other displays. The header is to short for plugin RPI3 directly. A day later the display is showing bad failure on the screen, like a black sun :(

My first HyperPixel failed to detect touches in a certain screen region, so Pimoroni without any hassle sent me a replacement display and refunded me for sending back the defective unit. The replacement works like a charm. Installation of the driver services works right out of the box, and I did this in headless mode via SSH. The display is sharp and simply looks good. Of course, at 3.5" size this is not really for running a desktop, but instead for status display (read: large letters) and for video. My replacement HyperPixel came with a warning sticked affixed to the display itself. I slightly miss the nice touch of the old separate note saying "fragile" and explaining the origin of the word. That was more to Pimoroni's unique style! I also noticed that the replacement unit doesn't come with the black sticker in the bottom left corner of the display front anymore, where the cable goes into the LCD. The only things I see currently lacking in the HyperPixel that keep me from giving 5 stars are: 1. No finer backlight brightness control beyond on and off. Hopefully, the Pirates at Pimoroni can sort that out soon. 2. Lack of a suitable case, or suitable extension layers for the Pibow (coupГ©). Other than that, a really well-done product.

I can see the potential in these, but I think they're just too fragile. I bought 3 and all of them have broken, with dead areas on the screen. Other RPi screens don't need nearly as much care when attaching them to the GPIO pins
