“Wow, this is a nice display! I have the original and it is good....but this one is great! Had some fun building it together with a Coupé Flotilla case haha. The mounting hardware and header extension all fit perfectly. Now I just have to get that auto-display switching set up like my original. You can set the pi up to automatically send video out the HDMI when a monitor is connected, and use the hyperpixel when not connected to HDMI. This seems like the best way to go to be sure you always have a local display in case headless isn't available for whatever reason.”

Install HyperPixel software via the command line (HDMI display connected for terminal)

“Superb display, crisp & clear, touchscreen works beautifully. Knocked up a quick script in PyGame to test it and mouse events are all that's needed to use it.
Fitted straight onto my Pi 2 with the included header & standoffs. No soldering & nothing technical.
Slight problem with the one line curl install but just as easy through Github (and by the time you read this I'm sure that'll be sorted).
All in all this is a quality product at a good price. Big thumbs up to Pimoroni.
