“I purchased the 1kg bag of Rave Coffee The Italian Job Blend Nº 2 whole beans, hoping for a classic, robust espresso experience, and it absolutely delivers on its promise of a "full roast" with a rich, satisfying taste. The flavour profile is what a traditional Italian blend should be, IMHO. It's a rich, dark roast with prominent notes of dark chocolate and walnut. The taste is full and smooth, with no unpleasant bitterness, making for a truly "perfect" daily espresso. Upon opening the bag, the aroma is powerful, a clear indicator of its dark roast profile, but it is balanced by a pleasant, subtly sweet fragrance that is very inviting. The coffee has a full, almost velvety mouthfeel, rich and decadent. It has a satisfying, strong aftertaste that lingers pleasantly, providing a substantial caffeine kick, making it an excellent "wake-up call" in the morning. For those who love a strong, full-bodied coffee that punches through milk in lattes or flat whites but can also be enjoyed black, this blend is an outstanding choice.
