“Italian Blend No 2 was my first coffee bean purchase from RAVE, having previously bought some of the excellent Airscape canisters from them. Well, what can I say? Italian Blend No 2 was an auto-generated recommendation based on me doing the little quiz on their website. My fave coffee is a flat white which needs a coffee with some guts so as not to have the flavour overpowered by the milk. The blurb on this coffee said it is very good at cutting through the milk and I can confirm that it does this beautifully. When brewing I was very pleased to see a syrupy, unctious coffee coming from the spouts. Too many coffees are simply too "thin". The crema was also oerfect. I was looking forward to my first sip.
This coffee is everything it is described as on the website. The flavour does cut through the milk. It is powerful, yet smooth as silk with a pleasant aftertaste and a great length. We are blessed in the UK with many excellent and passionate independent coffee roasters and I have tried many of them with mostly pleasing results. They are all pretty good, some even excellent but this blend from RAVE could easily become my regular go to coffee.”
