A very pretty looking Inn. We had a wonderful stay, lots of lovely walking with cycle path and lots of footpaths from the Inn. Breakfast was very nice. Took a day to get in the swing of unloading hamper without a table and with help from the dogs, then fine. Would imagine it's brilliant when you can eat it on the picnic benches outside. The evening meal at the pub was very good if a bit expensive but checking other places nearby the prices were very similar. The dogs were given treats on every occasion as well as in the room on arrival. Thank you for a lovely break.

Our short stay early in Sept 2024 coincided with a few days of cold heavy rain!....however a warm welcome came from all the staff. The room was comfortable and opened onto the garden perfect for our Cocker Spaniel. All the meals were excellent and although the breakfast hamper was very good quality... I would have liked the option of a cooked breakfast perhaps in the bar? Will certainly like to return!

Fabulous inn with access onto the more literally on the doorstep. Very dog friendly - treats, blankets, poo bags in the room. The food is incredible and breakfast delivered to your door in a hamper is a genius idea. We were able to eat this in the very pretty garden overlooking the moor.

A lovely two nights stay at the beautiful Bearslake Inn. We were treated to an upgrade and stayed in the Hayloft, great room, lots of space with views of the garden, which was beautifully laid out and secure, and Dartmoor in the distance. Prosecco on arrival for us and a little treat box for our dog was a lovely touch. We also had a cream tea as part of our package which I highly recommend. The Inn is in a great location for those wanting to explore North Devon. All staff were super friendly, wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return. The Inn operates a breakfast hamper delivered to your door each morning, whilst the quality was lovely we felt a little restricted for options and it's delivered between 8.15/8.30am which is quite early for those on holiday.

Dogs were well looked after and as most places were allowed in the bar area but not the restaurant which is fine if you don't mind eating there , the food was good but in my mind a bit pricy ie £16.95 for sausage and mash. The room was well equipped coffee, tea etc . Personally I would not class it as a 4star as advertised but a good 3star . It is in a good position with a walk beside the inn direct onto the moor.

We had a lovely stay at Bearslake Inn on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. The glass of Prosecco on arrival + the doggy treats were very welcome and made us feel we were in for a treat! We ate in the bar on both evenings of our stay and the meals were excellent - compliments to the chef please. Breakfast hampers were exceptional and the Garden Room was comfortable and suited us perfectly. Our dog, Tilly had a wonderful stay being very impressed with the squirrels in the garden . Thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful midweek break.

This is a gem of a find, the food is fantastic and Lisa and her husband are exceptional hosts. We stayed in The Roost which has steps into the garden, very comfortable. The location is excellent for walking and just an hour from the coast.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Location was ideal for traffic free walking with the Devon Coast to Coast cycle pathway along the former railway line immediately behind the Inn.
The allocated room was easily accessible via the rear beer garden, perfect for the times when our four-legged companion needed to pop out for a quick call of nature. The main bedroom was spacious but the en-suite bathroom built into the roof eaves prevented the use of a shower. A disappointment was the picnic hamper cold continental breakfast served to your room door rather than the opportunity of a cooked option. However the food served in the pub for evening meals was top quality.
