We booked through Pets Pyjamas who were able to find us accommodation last minute. The hotel accepts dogs in the outdoor grounds, the bar and the pub. For breakfast you have to eat it in the bar once you’ve collected what you want. The food in the bar/breakfast & Pub were fine. Nothing very exciting. The rooms on arrival were on the ground floor. We had 2 interconnecting rooms with our 3 kids. Their room was big enough for all 3 beds. Ours was much smaller. Their bathroom had a basic bathroom. The shower controller was broken with a part missing so only the handheld shower worked. The main room was adequate but pretty basic. Our room which was a small double only had 1 ceiling bulb which was in the hall. 1 bedside lamp as main room lighting. We called to ask for another beside lamp which arrived but there was no power point on the wall for it. Both bathrooms had shower curtains which is always a pain when showering. The whole ground floor shared a balcony so people walk past your door/ seating area while you’re sitting outside. The patio decking is on the water and the railing are open so not great with the dog as you can’t let them roam free. The dog did have a bowl. Bed. Mat waiting for them in our room. You must pre book all meals including breakfast, luckily I read this in a TripAdvisor review and managed to get a 10am slot which was the last one for the whole 5 days. You can’t use the pool without having booked and had a treatment that day. When I tried to book 6weeks before there were no treatments available which meant no swimming for anyone. Treatments start at £48….. would have been an expensive swim. All in its ok if you’re out all day and don’t want to relax in your room or use the facilities then it’s a fine base for your trip.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Our room (166) was spacious and comfortable but there were two bad stains on the carpet, which rather let it down.
We were more than happy with the welcome we and our dog received. Most hotel staff were extremely friendly, helpful and pleasant.

We had the best few days at the De Vere Cotswold water park! The lake by the hotel was perfect for an early morning walk with our black lab Ebony she loved splashing through the brook and swimming in the lake. The room had all we needed plus a dog bed, bowl and a treat from Ebony on her arrival. There were lots of activities near by for families and lots of dog walks for dog owners. The gym was fully equipped with modern equipments & weights. Only thing I would say is if you want a treatment in the Spa book before you go as it was fully booked so we couldn’t get it. But can’t recommend this hotel enough will definitely be going back

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Would definitely recommend.
Lovely location with plenty of walking and swimming options. Hotel is very welcoming of fur pals. Rooms are large and comfortable. Dog bed, blanket and water bowl provided. COVID impact meant changes to housekeeping (room not refreshed at all during stay) and booking a breakfast time slot but this didn’t detract from the overall enjoyable experience.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Thank you to Tiffani @PP for organising
We stayed with our 2 boys in a ground floor lakeside room on the way to Cornwall. easy room access with the dogs especially for the bed time pit stop. Fantastic lake side walks & lots of lovely local pubs for dinner. We went to the Bell at Sapperton - beautiful. Would definitely come back- thank you

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? A little annoyed about the pool rules- must book and pay for a treatment to use to pool even though we had paid £200 to stay at the hotel for one night- a little disappointing. Didn’t make any sense.
Lovely hotel- our room was not the cleanest sadly, was extremely hot, no aircon only a plug in fan, could not leave the dogs in there at any time, no fridge & the dogs eat raw food so had to leave it with reception who were reluctant to keep it in their fridge

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Lunch menu could be improved. Tasty food like sausage and mash or hunters chicken or burritos would be good.
The lakes are simply stunning. Our room was lovely and had a great view. We were on the ground floor and had easy access outside with our dog. Would like to see a more incentive menu for food for lunch - we had burgers but they weren’t v exciting tbh. Staff were all lovely especially reception who made a huge fuss of our dog. Breakfast was different due to Covid - time limit of 30 mins isn’t enough but at least you were given a take away bag and could take food and drink back to your room to finish. We will definitely be back, although tempted to go self catering next time.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Covid Regs were adhered to, and staff were implementing the rules. some other guests ignored social distancing rules/one way systems.
I was advised when I checked in that the room we had been allocated was a ‘new adapted dog friendly’ room, however, we had no patio or access to the garden as advertised/sold - just a small window, which made it difficult to let our dog out when needed (ie. first thing in the morning/last thing at night) Room was big, but the bed was uncomfortable and pillows were flat, there was also no air con, which meant our room was warm during the recent ‘heatwave’. It didn’t feel like it was good value for money. The hotel was also noisy; we could hear doors opening & closing and other people’s TV & Music! As the hotel was at capacity we were not able to change room, and a personal service was not given. Hotel was clean, and breakfast was good. However, we were not told that we only had 30mins for breakfast! The dog bed, towel, bowl & treats were a nice touch. The location & the grounds of the hotel are lovely.
