“The food was amazing and would get 5 stars. The Hotel is lovely but when I have previously booked with Pets pyjamas we were given lovely dog friendly rooms but the room was ok but wouldn’t stay again with a dog. It was very small and the shower was not safe easy to slip. The room was very basic and I asked about other rooms we could stay in with the dog but our only option was the basic room. I thought with pets pyjamas we were able to have nicer rooms. Lindsay was lovely and really friendly had a lovely treatment. 5 stars for Lindsay.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We were told that Pete Pajamas would be approached for us to have a refund for the two nights we were not prepared to stay.

“The room we were given had a maximum of two working electrical sockets, the TV was connected to an extension reel. The deadlock on the door could only be fastened and undone with difficulty. Not very good in an evacuation. We did not feel safe, therefore. The electrical situation was not disclosed to us on arrival. The hotel is 4 star but the bathroom had mould on all the seal points, the robes were obviously old and different shades of grey (rather than white).”

“The staff were simply amazing,the dogs got treats and so many cuddles. Food was lovely and grounds utterly beautiful. The only reason it never got five is because the room was very tired and is very overdue for a refurb. Hubby disabled and had great difficulty showering as he had to get into bath with no grab rails. I gather other 'dog' rooms had a walk in shower and a small outside patio area. But there was a wedding and these rooms were already booked. We were there for 8 days and I cannot fault the staff at all especially the wonderful lady in charge of breakfast room, felt like leaving a friend at end of holiday. Loads of nooks and crannys to find peace to read, lovely swimming pool etc. this hotel was so relaxed with the dogs, even had a sign saying pooch having a lie in. lovely walks round grounds,loved the wild gardens in places for wildlife. All in all fantastic holiday. '”

“Stayed here on b&b basis with our pup for 1 night. The hotel is very dog friendly . Staff are reassuring about it and are very well used to having dog staying there no there are dog bowls and treats throughout the hotel. The public areas and bar are beautiful and luxurious but the room we had whilst spotlessly clean and conveniently located on the ground fooor for east outdoor acccess with the pup had seen better days. It was a little tired, the furniture was a mishmash of different styles and ages and the decor was old. That said it was absolutely fine for 1 night. The food was out of this world - we had the Indian Thali and the double burger - both were great quality and beautifully cooked. Breakfast had lots of hot and cold choices for the deal we were on. A full cooked breakfast with other hot choices were also available for and additional small cost but tbh there was plenty of choice for the most discerning guest. Overall, this is a lovely hotel with great staff, lovely gardens and fantastic food . We would recommend and would stay here again.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Lack of hot water to shower on the first evening but water temperature better the following morning.

“A great stay at Rowton Hall. The Spa had a wide range of facilities and so we were able to really relax and unwind. It was appreciated that we could be accommodated on a dog friendly table for all our meals.”
