Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? Yes

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Room quality can differ greatly from room to room. Food seems very expensive for what is offered.

“The Staff Staff were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful. We received a small welcome pack for our dog upon arrival. They were also very accommodating when we had any issues. The Room(s) Our initial room (208) was a small twin bed, Dog Friendly room. The beds were very uncomfortable leading to very little if any sleep. The room was poorly lit, and the desk was in a corner under the wall mounted TV. There was no light in this corner for using the desk. The room also was very warm and had no air conditioner, the floor had pipes under them that appeared to play a tune with every step over them. We gave it two nights and then spoke to the reception team about it. The team were very apologetic and arranged another to be cleaned and prepared for us. This room (217) was a larger family dog friendly room, it consisted of a large bed, plenty of storage space and air conditioning! This upgrade was given at no extra cost. The Spa Although we never really had a chance to experience the whole spa, as treatments cost extra. We did take a quick visit to the pool area. This is a small shallow pool, a hot tub that was lukewarm and the sauna was not functioning when we visited. The food. Only had one meal at the hotel, a £15 a head breakfast, that felt over priced for what was given, considering the number of restaurants /pubs nearby that offer food for less. Other items. There is a lift on site, but is so slow, it was quicker to take the stairs when able to. The hotel is located at the top of what could be considered a steep hill to some who are less mobile. But is a 5-10min walk from the beach and pier.”

“Just had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Collingwood. The room was clean and comfortable, and was very well located, within a five minute walk of the seafront. A special mention must go to the restaurant - the two evening meals we had there were excellence and the waitress staff were friendly and efficient. There was a good choice of food at breakfast as well. The only negative I had was that the room was a tad warm for more liking.”

“Positives…rooms and nice, clean and a good size. Dogs are welcome… Negatives…hotel is so hot, rooms were like a furnace even with radiators off and windows open…evening meal was poor..”

“Nice hotel that will welcome and you and your pet with a friendly smile. Very clean with adequate rooms and comfortable beds. The bar area for you and your pet is excellent and is also where you eat breakfast and other meals. A great place to stay close to the seafront.”

“The staff were really friendly. The room was lovely although a bit small. It was very clean. I couldn't play ball in the room. The seagulls were really loud! I got a lovely treat bag on arrival. Thank you. Unfortunately there wasn't a dog menu but the kitchen staff cooked me some chicken and I had some bacon for breakfast. Yum! I really enjoyed my first visit to the beach ⛱️ My Mum and Dad loved the pool and Jacuzzi.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Enjoyed a good breakfast and hotel was clean

“Having had a stressful few days before coming away we were looking forward to a relaxing stay. The room we were initially given was a huge disappointment ..looked totally different on the blog given by Pets Pyjamas. Very small , no welcome pack for our dog , no bed provided. Had to call pets pyjamas - no one got back to see if we’d been lucky enough to upgrade so obviously weren’t bothered. Changed rooms to a family room which was better and only just big enough for us to stay in with our dog for an extra £40.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We never got our welcome pack but there were plenty of dog treats behind the bar to keep our 2 happy.

“We spent 2 nights at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and made our 2 dogs feel very welcome. We were lucky to have the room closest to the swimming pool (dogs not allowed in the pool) and closest to the bar and restaurant. Nice sized room though White bedding and dogs, not the best combination after heavy rain. We put their beds and blanket on the beds as there was no way to keep thrm off when we were swimming or overnight. Overall, a lovely stay and I would recommend to other dog owners.”
