Did you and your dog receive a warm welcome? no
Did you feel your stay was good value for money? no
The best part of our trip was the location. This pub is next to all year dog friendly beach and cliff top walk. However we have been on many pets pyjamas holidays and unfortunately this one did not meet their usual high standards. The reception we received was none existent. We were told our room numbers and told keys were in the doors. There was nothing welcoming about it and no effort to make our dog feel at home. Rooms were comfortable and we had a lovely sea view, but only what we would expect from the price we paid!! Our room was not cleaned properly during the break and tea/coffee/water/biscuits not refreshed. You can’t blame everything on the Covid situation! Food at The Ship was adequate, nothing special, not even the fish and chips! Mundersley itself is very sleepy. The beaches are fantastic. But don’t expect anything exciting in the town itself. We left the Adventure Golf to our last day only to be told our well behaved dog was not welcome! Would we return.... no. High point of holiday.... Seeing seals at Horsey beach.

Firstly staying in a pub for the first time is definitely different to staying in a hotel. We didn't get the personal service that we have experienced from a hotel. That said, we had a super waitress called Trish when we dined with our two dogs in the evening. Our room was huge and sea facing, which was reflected in the price we paid for our 3 night stay. All meals taken at the pub were very good except our last, Sunday roast which was the first meal in my life (aged 57) which I had to send back. The waitress, Madeleine (I think that was her name) was very apologetic and didn't charge us. The hotel location on the beach was a definite highlight and the reason we may consider returning.

This was our Staffy’s first holiday away and he loved it and so do we. The hotel/pub is situated just up from the beach a 10 second walk and you are on it! The beach is sandy and goes on for miles! On arrival we received a warm welcome everyone was friendly and helpful. We had room no 2 which was a good size lovely comfy beds and a bed our staffy too! Shower was large and water hot! We had breakfast and would throughly recommend there was a buffet as well as cooked so no need to go hungry.would return and would definitely recommend. They do have dog bowls but they are small so it you have a larger dog them perhaps bring your own

We had a really lovely time at The Ship Inn and our dog Murphy was made to feel as welcome as we were. The staff were very friendly and were able to recommend places for us to go with Murphy and even though we only had a short amount of time to explore the area because of the advice we were able to see a lot. The room that we stayed in was really beautiful and the sea views were wonderful. The food was also really lovely and reasonable priced. We would recommend the hotel and would like to go back and stay again if we can.
