“We had a great stay with lots of pros and a few cons. We booked a standard double, and while the bed was quite hard and the bottom sheet was too small and kept pulling out, exposing the mattress, the overall experience was positive. The room and bathroom had a bit of mould, and although the tea and milk were replenished daily, the dirty mugs and teaspoons were not replaced.From a dog owner's perspective, this place was heaven. The lovely grounds and a beautiful walk through the woods, which took about 15 minutes, were perfect for our dog. The staff were wonderful, and we enjoyed meeting many other dog owners in the bar where meals were served. While we didn't get to know their names, we certainly remembered their dogs, and our dog had a fantastic time socializing.The location was great, with lovely countryside and villages nearby offering good walks. I would definitely stay here again, though I would consider upgrading the room next time.”

“We had an amazing time at New Place Hotel. The hotel and the grounds were beautiful and such a nice place to spend our time. The room was really nice and dog friendly which was perfect for us. The food was delicious and really good value for money! All the staff were really friendly and welcoming, particularly the barman who was on shift that day.”

“A lovely hotel with great food and friendly staff, our dog was made so welcome,7 dogs and their owners present when eating our evening meal, with all canines and humands getting on famously. Would highly recommend and already planning another visit here.”

“Would return again. Sadly our Spaniel didn't get her welcome pack. Electric car charging points seldom available due to a few selfish drivers leaving cars in charging bays overnight without being on charge.”

“Arrived a bit early to check in to room. It was pouring with rain so we went to the bar. On entering we realised there was a wedding going on and they had taken over the bar. No where for us to sit with our dog and one of the wedding guests even said to us 'you are not bringing that in here'. Went back to the car and drove home.”

“I can not thank you enough for finding this place! What an experience. Firstly, I want to say it was so easy to book. The care you show making sure dog's are treated like a family member. I will be booking through you again. So on to the hotel. I booked a night away for my partners birthday as soon as we drove in we were blown away on how lovely the place is. My partner was overwhelmed with her surprise I am in the good books for a year! We parked up and went to the reception. What a warm welcome they even wished my partner a happy birthday. We went to the room and on the pillow was a birthday card from the staff. How cute is that! They did not need to do that but they went above and beyond. The room was lush. I absolutely love the ideal off the rooms being around the grounds. It was so pretty. We had a walk around and went to the bar. A big shout out to Joe behind the bar. What a lovely friendy bloke. I have a foster dog at the moment with anxiety he was so great and really took care off us. He reserved a table for us so it was cosy for my dog. At dinner we had to eat in the bar because of the dog but we had a nose in the restaurant it looked amazing. The dinner was outstanding the food was so good and presented well. The pudding Joe wrote happy birthday in chocolate sauce on my partners plate. How thoughtful is that. Joe you rock. My partner and I slept well in the comfortable beds. The shower was lush. For breakfast we had a lovely full English and my dog enjoyed a sausage. We walked around the massive grounds it was just out of this world. We didn't want to leave and will book again for a night or 2. Again I can not thank everyone enough. My dog also says thank you for making her first night away she has ever experienced a happy experience she deserves to see. You lot are dogs angels big thank you”

“This was our second visit to this wonderful hotel. We like to stay in the news rooms it’s like having your own little flat with a patio and lawn area outside your front door which is very convenient for the dog. The rooms are so spotless you would never know dogs stay in the rooms. The rooms have all you need despite not being huge. The grounds are amazing and the house exterior is really incredible. There is a small indoor pool which is a bit chilly and a jakuzzi and sauna and gym all of which are free. Plenty of parking. The bar menu is not cheap but you get good portions and the quality of the food is good. The restaurant menu is expensive and the menu is quite unique but still nice although we preferred the bar menu. This is our favourite doggy hotel and we will go back. Oh and now they have a great new addition of an outdoor doggy wash, like a car wash but a doggy bath wash for only £3 with various treatments and a blowdry.”
