A beautiful location. Staff were very friendly and food was good (great breakfast!). A few things to think about: Gym is way too small - hardly any weights!! Would also be good to have a few more treats around the hotel e.g. a water bowl and food bowl in the rooms with food, treats on the table etc - make the dogs feel at home

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? To note try and find the place in daylight, windy narrow lanes not much fun in the dark. Book in advance if you want to use the Spa.
Excellent stay despite the variable weather. Nice dog-friendly beach good walks along the cliffs. Friendly staff.

This was our first visit here and we were not disappointed. This is not a place that you would just happen upon as it is reached via a very narrow road - particularly in the latter stages. However the hotel itself is set in a fantastic location with great views towards the sea. We and our 3 Spaniels stayed in a Junior Suite with sea view which was very comfortable with plenty of room. All the staff we met were very friendly & welcoming. Of particular note was Clive the Sommelier who, apart from being the resident win & gin expert, had travelled extensively & we had some interesting discussions. The food was excellent too with Becca being our waitress on several occasions - what a happy person she is! We will definitely return as there is so Much more to see & do in this beautiful part of Devon. Highly recommended.

The Soar Mill Cove is reached by a single track road and the single story building sits above the cove with spectacular hill top and sea views. We parked at the rear where we noted there are two Tesla charge points - not sure if they work on all vehicle types or of there is a cost. We were welcomed to our room, staying in one of their "dog friendly" rear facing rooms without view. The wet dog smell hit us immediately. We are dog ownersand though we were made welcome, the feeling of being segregated grew as time went on. The lounge (and views) is off limits, the dining area is partitioned off with railings to keep us separate and is positioned to the rear of the dining room - don't expect a window views with the other diners. With the overwhelming smell, our room (10) was grubby, the carpet heavily stained, the curtains were mouldy and it was generally very tired - not 4 star. It's only redeeming features were that it was spacious and had large opening doors to the small shared garden at the rear. Finally, note that the paper thin walls do not offer much peace and quiet - conversations and footsteps are clearly heard from within. The service went some way to making up any stars awarded. We enjoyed meeting the hardworking team in the well stocked bar at then end of the shift which added a personal touch. The food is best described as pub grub and the Devon breakfast was decent. In summary, we were disappointed by Soar Cove Mill and relieved to be only staying for one night.

We had a great stay at Soar Mill Cove Hotel. The hotel is in a lovely location and you can take a walk down to the cove from the door. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room had dog bowls and a treat. We were allowed to dine with our dog but ‘dog zone’ in restaurant a little cramped.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? I was shocked to see how much Pets Pyjamas added on to the hotel cost! I will always book direct with the hotel in future
Very remote. Very pet friendly.
