“After venturing down tiny roads we arrived with one very excited dog as he could see the sea What a beautiful place, room overlooking the sea with enough space, lovely comfy bed with bathrobes supplied, Tea/coffee & FRESH milk brought own but if I had known wouldn't have & you can request more when you wish. Dog mat, bowls & a treat for himself. Walked down to beach met the cows including my favourite Highland & saw deer. The beach was great just the right size where we met other dogs Dinner was a delight we had to bring the dog as he was shouting at being left lovely meal had & nothing too much trouble. Lovely nights sleep although the heaters were annoying just need to turn them off, would also recommend a room further away from reception as it was a little noisy, then a fab breakfast & final walk to beach. Staff are a credit to the hotel all lovely.”

“A super family run luxury hotel. We had a fantastic 2 night stay with our pooch. This hotel ticked every box for us as a family, and is ideal for dogs. Patio doors led to open fields and stunning views. It is a very short hike to the private beach and there are beautiful costal walks on the doorstep, too. We walked from the hotel to Salcombe and then caught the local bus home. The rooms are well equipped and the food is excellent. We shall definitely be returning to this gem of a hotel.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The narrow Devon roads and pay and display parking everywhere were our only disappointment.

“The hotel was quieter than we had expected but everything about the hotel Met or exceeded our expectations. Our room was large and with a patio door to our own garden was excellent for our dog. The food was superb, whether it was the breakfast of the excellent dinners. It was a great base to explore the nearby towns of Salcombe, Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes all of which were very pleasant.”

“We were greeted warmly on check in, the hotel is in our opinion, very dog friendly. Dogs are allowed everywhere, apart from the main lounge and the Spa, which makes sense. Our sea view room had a lovely patio area, which we were able to use with our dog wandering on the grass in front of us. Well behaved obedient dogs are stress free here, as there is so much space. The bed was 'huge' and very comfortable. The food was delicious, the menu has a good choice and the staff were knowledgeable of the product, the Malbec we were recommended was good value and pleasant to drink. Every morning our dog was included in breakfast by being offered a sausage. There was no pressure and we were free to take as long as we liked over all our meals. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from a secluded cove, which is stunning, well worth the walk down and the climb back up. An added bonus is the pool and spa area, this was great to relax in after a day walking along the coast.”

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? The breakfast and dinner was lovely and the staff were excellent, but the room was disappointing for the price we paid.

“The staff were very friendly and kind to the dogs. Our room was a little disapointing for the price we paid. The bed was extremely hard andthe pillows we didnt sleep very well, there was little finishing touches missing like shower cap, milk topped up the next day, the bathroom needs updateding and the room refreshed.”
