“This was a great find! The staff were welcoming and super dog friendly. Food and drink was great The walks in the hotel grounds and beyond were perfect. My son and dog loved the river.”

“We've stayed in a good many so-called dog-friendly hotels over the years but the Fox & Hounds really is geared up for dogs. It's not pretentious so as owners we felt comfortable and relaxed. In many ways, it felt like a large very friendly country pub with all the best attributes of the latter - friendly staff, lovely grounds where you can relax with a good real ale after an enjoyable walk. The meals were also excellent.”

“The staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything was organised and ran smoothly. The food was very good. The hotel is so lovely and relaxed. The grounds were perfect for walks with the dogs. We loved it all!”

“Perfect spot for a short break with your pooch. Our room was excellent had a small private deck and the grounds lead down to the river for a paddle. Our dog is sometimes stressed in hotels but here tables in the restaurant are well spaced so pooches are never too close. Definitely recommend and will visit again.”

“The hotel and grounds were excellent for a dog with ample space for exercise and nice touches, such as liberally scattered dog drying towels, water bowls and dog treats. The accommodation was comfortable and the food in the hotel restaurant was of extremely high quality. Highly recommended!”

“We were a little worried, taking our 2 year Cocker Spaniel to a hotel. But we should have not been, soon as we arrived, it was like home. Lovely walks. Also the river taw, was on the doorstep and our dog was able to swim.”
