We had a lovely two nights at the Hare and Hounds with our Labrador. The staff were all very welcoming. There are plenty of green spaces on site too which is helpful.

We were seriously impressed with every aspect of the Hare & Hounds from the spacious and comfortable accommodation to the delicious food and the attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely welcomed Monty, my cockapoo, who was able to join us at both breakfast and our evening meal. I am wheelchair dependent and have to say that this hotel provided the most accessible bathroom I have encountered. It enabled me to remain completely independent which isn’t always possible. My friend and I were delighted with our stay.

Amazing stay! From the booking process to checking out, everything went smoothly. Hotel was brilliant with 2 big dogs. No additional charge and they got breakfast! Highly recommended.

We had one night at the Hare and Hounds to celebrate Olive’s 6 month birthday. It couldn’t have been any better. It’s genuinely dog friendly but also feels clean and luxurious. The location is excellent with plenty of walks and the arboretum close by. Delicious food (including a dog friendly menu!) and brilliant staff. Highly recommended.

My partner and our two dogs have just come back from a wonderful one night stay at The Hare & Hounds Hotel. We were so welcomed and enjoyed our spacious room, the food and the setting its self. We will be back!

We took our recently operated on swoodle and our boisterous lagotto on our planned Christmas break. No trouble was spared for my injured furry friend , the staff were kind and loving. His recovery was complete when each morning he was offered a delicious sausage for breakfast mmmm I could hear him say. The hotel was lovely, the grounds superb especially given all the rain and the food delicius. Would certainly return.

Lots of positives in this hotel. Nice room and an upgrade with large bathroom with both shower and bath. Bath robes. A set of patio doors to a small area of gravel useful in the middle of night but no gate ! Good tea tray with Cafetière and tea pot and fridge. Cream tea everyday of visit which was nice but didn’t take it in the end as didn’t know ! We were treated to this in our room. Very enjoyable. Excellent breakfast in every way apart from the seating arrangement in the dining room- lounge area on low tables ! We asked to be seated on a high table but it still wasn’t high enough for me. We asked if we could sit in Jack Hares bar on the other mornings and they obliged. Evening meals served in bar too if you had a dog but the menu was limited. The prices were steep and portions small especially the gnocchi that arrived cold. I sent it back but was only slightly warmer but was treated to complementary drinks. Staff nice and friendly and good with dog. The room was mainly peaceful but people did disturb dog by walking past door and up the stairs by the room. The bed was reasonable comfortable but not amazing. The floor covering was very uncomfortable on the feet and I found painful as it was almost like rough hessian. I realise the purpose was to be hard wearing but surely hardwood floors would be better. Smart TV did not give access to Netflix etc. Otherwise good TV. We also received complementary Westonbirt Arboretum tickets and that was a lovely visit but the price of a winter ticket is £7 not £9 as advertised by the hotel. In summary, Fantastic staff and breakfast ( if you can eat in the bar) But I felt it treated dog owners as slightly second class.
