Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Was very nice to stay somewhere with such excellent customer service
The hotel was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they made a lovely fuss of our puppy who was staying with us. The room we stayed in was spotless and very comfortable with lots of room. Very nice products too in the bathroom. I ordered some sandwiches at lunchtime and asked if I could have them to take away and they kindly brought it over to our room for us. We ate in the bar one of the evenings we stayed and it was good food and service. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was very good and our puppy even had his own too which was a lovely touch. It hotel didn't just accept dogs to stay but they seemed to welcome them staying. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay again!!

Taking three very large greyhounds to a hotel is a challenge . Sure there are plenty of dog friendly places but not 3 of them and not at that size . The Hare & Hounds was perfect , large room, direct access to the grounds and the warmest welcome. Greyhound owners know what our breed need and they have it all at this stunning hotel.

We had a lovely 3 day stay and found the hotel had a warm and friendly atmosphere for us and our small dog Teddy. With the weather so wet and windy we stayed in the hotel for the duration of our stay, in the lounge and the library which both were very comfortable. The room in Silkwood was also well equipped, comfortable and very dog friendly with direct access to outside and the grounds well kept and ideal for short walks. Breakfast and service was excellent in the lounge, Teddy loved his sausage! The food for Dinner and Sunday lunch in the bar was excellent, the only down side is the menu was quite limited and if we were to stay longer would have to go out for meals after three days. The only disappointment was finding out on check out that 12.5% service was added to the meal and drinks bills, which is excessive for what is a pub with staff taking the order and just delivering plates! Pored the first glass of wine and thats all. I didn't see any mention of the charge on the menu. Would not mind paying a service charge in a restaurant with the accompanied service that goes with it. However would definately stay again

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Hotel facilities limited due to covid, but not a problem as we would have eaten in the bare area anyway. Lovely staff loved the dog and gave her lots of attention.Last time we did pets pyjamas we had a welcome pack with treats and food dish etc. Not this
I enjoyed my stay, I had my own bed and a warm welcome with lots of treats and breakfast sausage

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? We booked dinner, bed & breakfast, which gave us a £40 allowance pp for dinner. We actually didn’t use anywhere near £40 pp so another time would only book bed & breakfast. Also we’re somewhat surprised at the service charge added to our bill for meal
My mum and dad were a bit apprehensive about taking me to stay in a nice hotel and had booked a Silkwood ground floor room. When we arrived we discovered that our lovely big room was situated in a separate block at the rear of the hotel and had a small private gravelled outside space for any emergency night-time visits. Although a bed was kindly provided for me, I felt more at home using my own, but was very happy to discover a bowl of water waiting for me when we arrived. The surrounding hotel grounds were perfect for early morning walks, but unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to chase the squirrels! When we went in to the main hotel, my mum and dad took my bed for me to sit in whilst they ate their meals. Because I’m allergic to meat, I was brought a lovely bowl of scrambled egg, which, although I had already eaten my usual breakfast, I thoroughly enjoyed the unexpected treat.

We were a party of nine with 3 dogs. The hotel were very accommodating with arranging a long table so we could have dinner together in Jack Hare’s Bar and setting up the Polo Room for breakfast

Such a lovely hotel, the staff couldn’t do enough for us and our dog Barney. As we were there for a few nights whilst we had the heatwave the grounds were perfect to walk our dog as they were very shady, I would recommend 100%.
