“I bought a Dormeo memory plus mattress to replace the old pocket sprung mattress and memory foam topper which were both sagging, the original sprung base was in good condition. The Dormeo mattress only swelled to 15 cm depth and was a bit low and firm for me, so I got the Panda mattress topper (via Dunelm where the previous (not Panda) one had come from). The 2 items together worked out cheaper than buying one of the other recommended mattresses like Emma, Nectar or Simba which I could not afford. I am very pleased with my Panda. Delivery was quick, it came in eco-friendly packaging and was easy to put on the bed (with help, as I have some arthritis in hands). It swelled up to correct size very quickly and the slight plasticky smell was gone by the next day. A few years ago I had hip replacement and significant spinal surgery but still have aches and pains. From day one I slept much better as the Panda gave that much needed layer of comfort and depth of support to the mattress. I leave the duvet and pillow off every morning for a few hours to help it recover and air, though it immediately comes back to shape after I get up. I am a back or side sleeper and both positions are very comfortable and I am not tossing and turning like I did before. I need to have a pillow under or between my knees depending if on back or side, because of my back, and I used to end up in a right tangle in the mornings but am sleeping much better with the Panda and the pillow stays in situ as I am not moving about so much. I am fairly light weight at just over 9st and it is perfect for me. It does not get too warm, but is a comfortable temperature. I highly recommend and also reassured with the 10 year warranty.”
