Having another mattress topper made by a well known bed manufacturer on a different bed (albeit a thinner one) the quality of the Panda, in particular the full, zipped 'bamboo' cover rather than a less than ideal top cover that just about turns over the edge of the topper is very apparent. Although the 'other' topper we have is 'ok' to the point that I was considering a deeper version, it is that 'just ok' and obviously that opinion was before seeing the Panda. To compare the two, is like comparing a Ford Focus to a Mecedes or whatever premium car brand floats your boat . They will both get you to the shops, but I'm sure you get the picture. Also, the 'other' brand I believe only has/had a two year guarantee, the Panda offers ten.
Slight smell for a couple of days as all 'foam' products do, but not overpowering and certainly wasn't a problem for me. I mention that as I do have asthma that is often triggered by strong chemicals and sprays etc.
To summarise then, very glad I did a bit of research and came to this decision, as there is an awful lot of poor quality rubbish advertised out there and some of it not cheap at all.
Obviously early days yet, but so far so good and very happy with my purchase.
