Once again, SUPERB service from MX5Parts and a SUPERB quality product! Delivery took less than 24 hours from the time I placed the order and the product came well packaged. It's a beautiful looking exhaust with top quality welds and I'm sure it will last the lifetime of our Mk2 MX5. I had the centre section replaced by a custom made stainless steel section of pipe, including a small silencer, and the result is a lovely sounding exhaust which is neither "boy racer-ish" at high revs nor "droney" when cruising. It is definitely louder than the stock exhaust though but not obnoxiously so ;-) I HIGHLY recommend this exhaust and MX5Parts.

I ordered this exhaust last month and it fit very well. The sound is good, not to loud. Don't forget the reat exhaust gasket and 3 rubber exhaust hanger. Just a bit smelly at the first ride!! So don't be afraid of that!

This item (despite apparent revision) did not fit without the need to grind the holes so that the bolts aligned. This was done FOC by the F1 autocentre that I used. A part made especially for the MX5 should fit perfectly. Also I forgot to buy a gasket - DON'T FORGET. Looks good although it is obvious that it is a non-standard part, rather than a stainless steel version of the original. Exhaust note is improved.

Good quality product. Fits the sculpted hole in the bumper perfectly. Easily fitted by my Bosch service agent who reported no problems with bolts, alignment of holes etc. Lovely sound - not unlike the old MGB that I used to own.

I bought this online and had it fitted at MX5Parts - the excellent online service is reflected in the face-to-face dealings with the staff (and it's nice to window shop!). Fitting was done in a swift and efficient way, at a reasonable price. Now to the exhaust! I bought it with the stainless steel mid-pipe, I'd advise everyone to do that as they go together very well. The tailpipe looks chunky but tidy. The sound is nicest at 2500rpm - this translates into 30 in 3rd, and 40 in 4th. Meaning it sounds nice and burbly through town, the sound reverberates off the streets and sounds mondo cool inside the car. And, the new exhaust tames my K&N Typhoon meaning the car sounds more exhaust than induction - which is better! Incidentally, it's not loud in a chavvy way. It's loud enough mind but in a sweet, burbly way - and that's what we all like! The tailpipe looks chunky but tidy. The sound is nicest at 2500rpm - this translates into 30 in 3rd, and 40 in 4th. Have just had this fitted alond with the IL stainless mid section, to my 1.8 Sport. Considering removing the stereo now, as I won't be listening to that any time soon! As per other reviews, the sound is not OTT, just a really nice burble, spits and pops on the overrun; in a good way. Tail pipe wider than stock. Looks good, would'nt want it to be any larger. Fitter commented on the quality of the exhaust. No problems with the hole alignment, but this could be because it was mated to the IL Motorsports mid section.Came in a IL Motorsports box! :-)BARGAIN!

Purchased this silencer after pondering for some time , price reduction was the nudge i needed , its a bargain at this price. Picked it up at local courier depot as I was out when they delivered it , left the large cardboard box with them so i could get it in the boot of my MX. Was going to fit it myself but took a chance and called into very good local tyre and exhaust centre as I was passing , 20 mins before closing time. It was fitted in 10 mins flat with the help of there ramp and air tools. Fitter had taken a deep breath when initialy told him wanted an aftermarket silencer fitting , bad job at the end of the day etc , these aftermarket systems never fit etc etc. 10 mins later he was back with the car , stated , its quality peice of kit , perfect fit. There was no problems with the holes in the flange being to small as others have stated, I had sprayed the nuts with rust penertrant a few days before and maybe got lucky as they came straight off with the correct tools. Chuffed to bits with it really , sounds just that little bit louder but not much and certainley not too much to be a nuisance or make you look a fool. Great Stuff all in all, cant say more than that.
