Read MX5parts Reviews

After the success of the Mk1 & 2 kits, we are really pleased to now be able to offer these fantastic quality pedal cover sets for the Mk3/3.5. The kit consists of a footrest, and three pedal covers made from aluminium in a brushed finish with an anti slip top. These have been designed to be as close to the original size as possible, making them far easier to use than the usual "over sized" aftermarket pedal sets. They come nicely packaged with all the required fixings. They are available for both right and left hand drive cars, so please select which ones you need from the drop down box.
Fits all Mk3, Mk3.5 & 3.75 models, 2005>2015 with manual gearbox only.

These aluminium pedal covers look fantastic on my MX-5 MK3, giving it a sporty and more classy feel. Installation was straight forward—while the accelerator and dead pedal screwed in effortlessly, the clutch and brake covers were very, very, very tight lol. A quick tip: using some WD-40 on the rubber made a huge difference! I was then able to slide those stubborn covers on. Once installed, the grip is excellent. Overall, a high-quality product that enhances both style and performance. Highly recommended!

First these look good, as though they had come with the car from new. Second I actually found them straightforward to fit thank goodness! I found the English language instructions on the I L Motorsports website under the product page for the pedals and the Wind1Dance video on YouTube was also useful. Accelerator and foot rest were easy enough if you have the right basic tools (drill, 3 & 4 m drill bits, Philips screwdriver and either a 7mm spanner, socket or small pliers) and take your time. I didnÆt bother marking the holes just used the pedal in place as the template and drilled straight through. For the brake and clutch I used some fairy liquid and also heated the rubber of the pedal with a hairdryer by the car just before fitting. They did go on quite easily by putting one side on first and then just ease the rest of the rubber lip of the pedal around the car pedal while pushing.

A great-looking, reasonably-priced product and easy to fit: just need drill with 3 and 4mm bits plus screwdriver for rest plate and accelerator pedal, and small amounts of washing-up liquid and hand pressure for fitting clutch and brake pedals (download English instructions from IL Motorsport and/or watch youtu.be/yY8aku6tjh0). All done in 25-30 minutes.

Excellent product. For fitting the brake and clutch covers: apply washing up liquid to both the actual pedal face and inside of the new cover (get it under the rubber lip too). To put on, squeeze it on, do not try to pull the lip over with fingers/screwdriver etc as so many people often suggest. This will either damage your hands or the covers. One hand pulling the pedal towards you, the other pushing down on the cover to squeeze it on. For fitting the footrest: take off the two bolts holding original footrest in. Hold cover over it and drill tiny holes to guide screws in. Screw new plate on, refit. For fitting accelerator, hold new cover over the pedal, drill holes through pedal for the bolts to go through. Fairly self explanatory. Use needlenose pliers to hold the nut while tightening bolt to get a solid fit.

These look really good when fitted,Foot rest and excelerator peddle very easy to fit,Clutch and brake use washing up liquid put the top over first ,working down one side then along the bottom ( using pry tool under rubber like a bike tyre lever ) then work the other side down. I had a small piece of metal strip 80mm x 12 mm bent one end over to produce a 8 mm up stand and used this to pry the rubber over the peddles . Complete fitting time 45 mins very happy with the product and the look great

These pedal covers look and feel magnificent. They also represent staggeringly good value compared to other aftermarket bling. As for fitting..............footrest and accelerator piece of cake, clutch and brake seemingly impossible. After an hour of struggle all hope and my old body were exhausted despite liberal application of fairy liquid and silicone oil to the covers. Wading through all the reviews on here led to one which recommended following the advice of an American woman (guess who?) on YouTube. Her method, basically pushing (hard) along the front edges of the well-oiled covers, brought rapid success. I think this is another of those jobs which are much easier second time round.
