About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

I've been using Mooncup for literally years and I think this is only the second one I've bought. They last for ages and work brilliantly. It also stops the stress incontinence I've had since my my daughter was born, meaning I can run again - hurray!

I have used a mooncup for almost 10 years now and I have never looked back! Purchased a new one after having my daughter, it arrived quickly and is of the same 5* quality. Thank you!

I had been thinking of making the switch over to a period cup for a while, but was nervous after I had complications with the birth of my daughter which made using tampons uncomfortable. But I am so glad I tried out the Mooncup! Its comfortable, and easy to use; I just wish I tried it sooner!

I’m pretty pleased with the mooncup as I know I’m reducing waste going to landfill.Took a bit of getting used to, but I’m there now. I find getting it into the right position quite ‘physical’, but you get used to it. Once it’s in the right position you can’t feel it at all. I find it quite messy to use in terms of rinsing before reuse so wouldn’t use it when camping or anywhere away from a clean basin and toilet, but feel safe and secure when out shopping or whatever and also fine at night.

It takes getting used to and tbh the sound of removing is pretty gross but works well. The only thing I would say is that I had a really bad kidney infection after using. I’m not sure if it was this directly that caused it or a coincidence but I haven’t used it again on this cycle just in case and I’m not wanting to have drs or hospital appointments during a lockdown so thought better safe than sorry

Ever since childbirth and as I move towards perimenopause I have felt that I needed an alternative to tampons during my periods. I began to find tampons incredibly 'drying' and generally uncomfortable; not to mention time consuming when swapping different sizes/colours of them between handbags, the car, or anywhere else they might 'come in useful'. After much consideration and reading all the reviews I finally committed to the relative inexpense of a cup - just to see how I would get on. After all, it would potentially pay itself back after only a few months - and worst case it could be put in the back of a drawer for future consideration. However, only 24 hours in, I already know I have found the solution I was looking for.For me, having had children of my own removed the squeamishness of the idea that puts many women off. For me that made it easier - knowing what my body is capable of made me less anxious to try it. The very first time I tried it, I have to admit, the 'stem' caused discomfort and like most other women I had to trim it rather quite short. Once this was done I haven't looked back. Not for a moment. No discomfort and no 'ickyness' and lingering smell of pads, I am delighted that I finally gave it a go. So glad I haven't been disappointed - I think it helped as I really wanted it to work.No more second guessing for me towards the end of this cycle as to what absorbency I should use or how frequently to check....!

Having not long had my second child, I was searching the internet for tips on using tampons post childbirth so I could continue taking my older child swimming whenever we wanted to go without feeling restricted or worried about leaking. I came across so many testimonials about mooncup postpartum so I bit the bullet and tried it.After trimming off pretty much the whole stem I can honestly say I don’t feel a thing. I haven’t experienced any leaking, found it easy to remove and insert and the fact you can empty it as and when is great. No more changing your pad because it’s your last chance for a while and creating more waste. The environmental plus point is a complete bonus, and I’ll no longer have to fork out for sanitary items either!I ordered the larger size due to having had 2 kids and it’s working a treat. I feel so much fresher as well. Apart from my first crampy day, I barely know I’m on my period now!

Good product, comfortable for a first time user, great £ saver too. Only thing I'd prefer is a different colour option, white/clear stains quickly and makes cup look a bit unsightly.
