About Mooncup:

Mooncup began with a clear goal: to give people a healthier, sustainable way to manage their periods.

Back in 2002, we launched the world’s first medical-grade silicone menstrual cup, pioneering a movement that put health and the planet first. We saw an industry where profit came before people, ingredients were hidden, and plastics reigned, so we challenged the status quo.

Now, we're on a mission to become the world’s biggest sustainable period care brand. We’ve just launched Mooncup period pads into Sainsbury’s, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Look Fantastic. We’re also partnering with workplaces, gyms and hotels (like Canva, Danone, Third Space, Gymshark and Claridge’s) to offer free period care in bathrooms.

We use only science-backed, body-safe ingredients because your period products should work with your body, not against it.

I have very heavy periods and found that at night I don’t leak as much I would recommend to anyone who does. Very easy to use.

Fantastic. Life changing! So happy with it. Trying to persuade all my friends to get one.

These are a brilliant idea. Easy to insert. I made a mistake trimming the stem on mine by about half. I had enormous difficulty removing it after that. Don't make the mistake I did!

Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to leave us review. It’s great to hear that you like the idea of the Mooncup menstrual cup, although we’re sorry to hear that you had difficulties removing your Mooncup® after trimming the stem. The best thing to do would be to take a break from using it and get in contact with our friendly Advice Team at advice@mooncup.co.uk who will be able to run through some questions with you to see why this may have happened and provide you with lots of advice and tips to help you use the Mooncup with confidence. I hope this helps.
I had been thinking of getting one for a while and took the plunge. It took a bit of getting used to but after the second cycle I am confident with it and feel that it’s far better for my body and the planet. Win win!

Wish I’d made the switch years ago! It took a couple of try’s to get the fit right, but once I was confident I trimmed the stem down, and now the Mooncup is so comfortable that I don’t feel it all. The thing I like the most is you can leave it in place for a lot longer than tampons and I found I don’t always need to empty the Mooncup when out and about.

I've been meaning to try a menstrual cup as i have heavy flow for at least 3 days out of 7 and i always have a day where i can't or don't have a chance to change tampon, or it spills out on the side and frustrates me, nevermind the cost of them, sometimes forgetting refilling etc. And let me tell you, best decision i have ever made. Life changer. I can't express how happy and confident it makes me that i don't have to worry about it and empty when i can or i feel maybe it's time. This is my 3rd session with the cup, and only had an accident once-purely cuz i didn't insert it well and the vacuum didn't work, my fault entirely. Was easy to learn how to use it, i would have a panty liner on, just in case, but since i got the hang of it, i can do the whole process in like 5mins. You can't feel it it's there either. Totally recommend to anyone who is fed up with tampons and strings and accidents.

I've been using the Mooncup for about 15 years now, and this is my fourth (number 3, which expired naturally, was a size upgrade; number 2 was because I let number 1 boil dry on the hob). I would never consider going back to non-reusables. The Mooncup saves me (lots of) money, is minimally detrimental to the environment and is a cinch to use.

I am loving it! It is not my first experience with such a cup, but I find the silicone in this one softer to work with (this is especially important for me as I suffer from endometriosis and get a lot of pain during my period). It's also cool cause it allows me to swim every now and then. It's great for the planet, and I would love to see these types of products more popular. Like for instance, why can't we buy them in a shop or at the pharmacy? Ideally, we would have as many of us chosing to use it to reduce waste and get in touch with our blood!!!
