“Once you're used to it, a Mooncup will change your entire relationship with your own periods. Periods involve blood. And for years we've been sold products designed on the assumption we need shielding from our own blood. Products that absorb the blood into nasty pads that feel uncomfortable or plastic tampon applicators so you don't have to touch yourself, as if female bodies are something to be scared of. The Mooncup is a more honest relationship with your period blood. Instead of soaking it up in period pads, you simply pour the blood down the toilet bowl. It feels cleaner. On a light flow, you forget you're wearing it. On a heavier flow, you simply empty it regularly. No more wrapping period pads in tissues and hiding them in bins; no more worrying that you haven't got a tampon on you. I've had a Mooncup for two years now and that's saved hundreds of pads and tampon wrappers from landfill. Give it a go - you won't regret it.”

“Feels so much better for my body. No uncomfortable dryness from tampons and Is a lot better for the environment which is amazing. I rarely leak with my mooncup (I have a very heavy flow ) where as I would have to change a super tampon every hour at least. I would say it takes a couple of cycles to get used to 100% but once you do you don’t go back”

For someone with PCOS it really has helped with monitoring blood loss and as a mum of 4 means I don’t have to think or worry about packing anything for days out when it’s that time of the month. “Using a mooncup has changed my life! I used to be so paranoid that I was leaking through my tampon-I never was-but I was often worried and was convinced I had. With my mooncup, I know now that I never will-I’ve used out for over a year. With a bit of practice I now find it to be totally comfortable, convenient and I’m delighted with the environmental benefits, especially because I live in a rural property with a septic tank. My period pain also seems to have reduced since my use. I wish I’d started using one sooner!!”
