Clarke Black Whistle in the key of D
One-piece key of D tapered-bore whistle. The tapered bore gives these instruments a very responsive and solid tone, very noticeable particularly on bottom notes.
You might also like the stunning deep green Clarke Celtic Whistle also in the key of D.

I love this whistle, I started practising and learning to play on a cheap recorder, I heard the Tin Whisle on YouTube and wanted to buy one, great price and with only 6 holes to play on it is very easy for a beginner. My father of 99years was delighted to hear me play an old favourite song of his generation I look forward to practising lots.

I’m just learning tin whistle but so far this has been as much instrument as I need. Easy to play and get the low octave out and doesn’t require to just breath. The high octave is also lovely.

My wife is just learning so I ordered this Clarke whistle as a starting point to the wild whistle. For an entrance level, she is thrilled with the quality. Still learning but so far she is thrilled with this instrument.

Beginner review. I have had the whistle a few weeks now and it is a cracking little whistle. I'm a complete beginner, and I must say the whistle is a very accessible instrument for beginners. This whistle sounds great and I already have a tune off (She Moved Through the Fair). Highly recommended. Whistle was with me next day and correspondence from seller was excellent.

Lost my previous Clarke. Have other makes of whistles but occasionally like to fall back on the good old Clarke for it's nice 'breathy' tone. My latest replacement one from McNeela Music isn't quite as nice as the previous one on the upper end of octave two - but hey, I can live with it since total 100% consistency for all models of an instrument costing only € 18-ish isn't something to fret over :-)

Good for the price I bought a second one of these along with a much better whistle after I accidentally bent the first one I had. It's good to start with just because it's a low enough investment that you can find out if you'll like playing the whistle. I also take it places I don't want to take the good one due to risk of damage.
