It's a piece of garbage. Within a month all the strings have become dead and the instrument is unplayable. The Bridge is obviously the issue as it's made of the cheapest wood I have ever seen on an instrument in its price range. The "floating bridge" doesn't adjust and the strings fall out of place. Even when it sounded nice in the first week I had it the instrument fell out of tune within 15 minutes of playing. I don't understand how this has positive reviews, I guess mine is just an absolute dud. It's been stored well hanging on my wall beside perfectly functioning instruments. I am seeking a full refund and am so heart broken that my goals of learning this beautiful instrument have to be shelved.

Hi Matthew, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback regarding your experience with the McNeela Premium Irish Bouzouki. Firstly, we would like to apologise for the disappointment and frustration you have encountered with your bouzouki. We understand how disheartening it can be when an instrument fails to live up to expectations, especially when you had goals of learning and enjoying it. We have taken note of the issues you mentioned, the vast majority of time having difficulty to keep the instrument in tune is an issue with the machine heads. We're looking forward to receiving the Bouzouki in question to examine it and of course provide you with a full refund. Once again, thank you for your feedback and for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. We are committed to providing our customers with high-quality instruments and ensuring their satisfaction. Best regards, Lorcan

I bought this whistle for my 10 year old son. He has been playing on his Clarke Sweetone for about a year. Its a conical bore and he didn't like how softly he had to blow for the lower octave compared to my Walton's Mellow D or my 8 year old son's Feadog, and overall was struggling with breath control. He got this on Christmas and took to it right away. We had practiced some songs to play to my parents over video call and he did a great job playing without having any time to practice with and get used to the AerFlo. He sounded great! The sound is pretty similar to a Feadog, but not as breathy and without the texture or gravely sound that some other beginner whistles have. Not as mellow as my Walton's. Very clear though! The C natural note comes through just as loud as any of the other notes, which none of the other 3 whistles can say. The AerFlo is a little heavier than my other beginner whistles, making me feel like its more durable, and I love the black finish on it. It feels more significant in the hand, making it seem like a little brother to a Wild Irish whistle. Overall it's a nice step above other beginner whistles without a big jump in cost, we are very happy with it.

Nice box, but nor set up for an Irish Flute. I had to cut out additional foam to fit my Watson D flute. I have an older wooden box from McNeela that fits an Irish Flute. This box is bigger, and I think it's designed for a silver flute.

Very satisfied with my purchase! Only have two negatives, the varnish has already started to disappear around the button that I use the most and another button has started to randomly stay half stuck.

C# is flat, especially in the second octave. In equal temperament (440) it registers 40 cents flat. In just tuning, it registers as a C 20 cents sharp. All the D's lean on the sharp side, which makes the C# sound worse. Not impressed. It does have a lovely sound, and it is easy to play, but, again, it's intonation is cringy.

I am very surprised that this instrument was even sent out. There was rust on to of the 4 strings and general workmanship was very poor with a few areas around the frets filled in with some kind of filler. The skin was peeling off all around the banjo and the chromed connector for the strings was bubbled with rust and the bridge was lying at a terrible angle on the skin so clearly had moved during transit. All together very dissapointed but recieved refunds for return and the full cost of the instrument.

I restarted playing the bouzouki last year. Normally I play guitar and a bit of mandolin. I was looking for a medium-priced alternative for my Thomann Bouzouki/Otave mandolin with a narrow neck. First of all, a big praise for the beautiful sound. It sounds very balanced. Sounds more valuable than the Bouozukis I had or had played. (Goldtone, Thomann, hora). But the feel and look seem a bit cheap. Unsightly glue spots, scratches,... And the action is a bit high. I'm not sure yet if I can fix it with the Trussroad or if I have to sand down the bridge a wee bit. Shipping was top. Conclusion: for the price, a very good instrument with a rich sound. A bit better setup in the workshop and it would be perfect. It is a pity that there is no longer an instrument with a pick-up. Hint: the TGI Padded Bag suits perfect to this bouzouki

Good instrument, but no answer from customer service. Shipping was fast. The Wren is a nice instrument for a beginner. In terms of sound and buttons is far way better than my previous german concertina. I would like to give more stars, but I have few minor issues and I can't get in touch with customer service (neither by contact form nor by email). I am lucky I am not facing worse problems
