“This is an absolutely fantastic watch. Looks and feels fantastic, and the watchmaking quality is high too.
Cannot think of a negative, aside from the time it takes to save for another Marloe Watch!”
“On release of the Coniston range I ordered the Vulcan model and as usual with MWC the watch did not fail to impress. The exhibition back on the watch revels the beautiful movement perfectly. On a recent visit to MWC headquaters to meet the team I had decided that I would like either a Coniston White or Silver to add to my growing collection of Marloe watches. As I could not decide from the web pages I asked to see each at the time of the visit. Well all I can say is I now also own a Coniston White......and a Coniston Steel both of which are regularly worn. You cannot go wrong with these watches, bullet proof as a daily and perfect as a dress watch. Thank you Oliver, Gordon and Stephanie.”
“This is the third watch I have purchased directly from Marloe, all three watches are great, I wear them daily in rotation, very comfortable to wear, they look great, they have a premium feel much higher than their actual cost and I’m a very happy and satisfied customer”
“Received my Marloe Coniston as a gift on Father's day. I'm really impressed with the quality and design of the watch, and the visible mechanism on the back is a great feature.”
“I was attracted to the watch by the name. I live on the edge of the Lake District, I made my first hair raising attempts at dingy sailing on Coniston Water, regularly interrupted by one Donald Campbell practicing in Bluebird. He was a damned nuisance!!!
OK, so there is little to connect a watch designed in England with a Japanese movement to either the lake or Campbell except the name and an inscription behind the exhibition back.
But, it is a very attractive watch with some unusual features such as the '3-D' dial, the blue luminous edge to the dial and the pierced hands, also with blue lume - a nod to Bluebird??
It is good to be back to a hand winding movement and the unusual shaped crown is just the right size to make winding easy.
The AR coating to the underside of the crystal works well and gives another flash of blue as it catches the light.
The dial is very legible and stylish in a modern way. I would have loved blued steel hands but the shiny ones match the indices and are easy to read.
Much as I dislike being prompted to write product reviews, I have done this one because I very much like the watch, I like the idea of 2 guys getting together to make a dream work and I like the fact that this is an English firm with great products at very reasonable prices.”
“This is a really beautiful watch. Every detail speaks design, nothing is ordinary, and it just gets more attractive the closer you look. I love that it is such excellent value, and in that cost they've managed to get an exhibition back to show off the skeletal movement, a uniquely shaped case and hands, and a cool machined crown. The proportions work - even for quite a small wrist it doesn't look over-large. It took some time to find this company - having looked at Stowa, Hamilton, Farer etc.. but Marloe seem to have really crammed as much bang for their buck for design as possible - which I find the most attractive thing of all. Oh and it tells the time well too. My wife also bought me a display box with space for 8 watches........oh dear.”
