“Great value LED tubes, which were a straightforward replacement for the old fluorescent tubes in our stockrooms. The starters were included with each tube, and it really was a case of - remove old tube, swap starter, insert new tube. We ordered 33f them, and every single one lit up perfectly. One slight minus point - we went for plastic tubes, as we work in a food environment, and didn't want any risk of a tube breaking and sending glass everywhere. These tubes are quite 'bendy' and most of them have a curve to them in the fittings. It also made getting both ends of a 5ft tube into the connectors quite tricky, when you're 15ft up a ladder!!”

“This is an excellent replacement for an old-style T8 fluorescent tube. At five feet long, the plastic casing does 'sag' a wee bit in the middle, but this is hardly noticeable in everyday use. More importantly, it has superb light output and beam angle, and starts well-nigh instantly, irrespective of the ambient temperature. I only wish I had made the switch to LED much sooner. Do remember, however, that this tube takes all its power from one end only, so if you are thinking of installing it in an old fluorescent fitting, you'll have some re-wiring to do. I decided to take the easy option and buy a lightweight LED batten as well. So Farewell to Fluorescent, with all its failing ballasts, flickering, humming and dodgy cold-weather performance. And good riddance!”
