“To be fair, the replacement lamp doesn't work so I need to investigate if there is a supply problem so it's difficult to review. Having said that, the packaging was damaged and was enclosed within a Post Office plastic bag to protect it.”

Hi Mike, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. From my experience in lighting the lamp unless quite visibly damaged more than likely won't be at fault. It does indeed sound like a ballast problem. The only other issue is the incorrect wattage, but the cap types differ so if it fits then the wattage will be correct. Hope this helps. Rob
