“Gradually getting used to pressing all these new buttons and recognising the different signs, thank goodness for the manual. So far I like what I'm finding, the picture is good, the machine is neat and tidy and so far have not had any major problems.

“Bought this item and installed it on 20 March 2023. Very disappointed and have been on to the Support Desk all the time. The software is May 2022 and it won't install anything newer. Found this out when told to put the 'padding' up to 60 minutes. Recording programmes is a nightmare as it starts some way through, don't know how far in as it starts with the programme, ie: don't get all the music and intro of programmes, like Corrie or Emmerdale. The other night, whilst watching a programme, there was a hiccup(!) and it started to record it. Have also had to reboot as the search function stopped working. Only good thing is that the Support Desk are brilliant and I am sure they must be fed up with me by now. Don't like the one light on the front as if it is recording when you put it on, it is difficult to tell that it is on. Had hoped for better but will persevere with the Support Desk until they are fed up with me!”
“The Recorder was familiar to operate as I already have an older version of it. However, when it was first set up, I could not understand why it kept switching off/on when I was operating the older box. It is also slower to come on and when switching channels/accessing recordings and/or the TV Guide. The problem with the recorder switching on and off was solved by getting in touch with Humax who advised to change the frequency of the 'zapper'. This was very straightforward and solved the problem, except that initially when using the Channel Up/Down switch, it turns the box off instead, which is very annoying, but then it operates perfectly the rest of the time. I would have given it 4/5* except for the above, and also when operating in HD, the video resolution appears in the top left-hand corner, which can be really annoying!”
