“Set up was very easy. However it is difficult to tell if it has been left switched on, or if it is recording as just a blue light is visible. On other models that I have had it shows quite clearly that it is recording when the machine is off. Also there are more steps to go through to get to the recordings or when in the Guide to change to another channel to watch, which is somewhat annoying. It would have had 4* if it didn't seem so long before anything seems to happen after switching it on. Despite these niggles, I do like the Recorder, but would like to know how I can turn the WiFi off as once set up, there doesn't seem to be anyway to disconnect it.”
“I have one of the original Humax Foxsat recorders and wanted to make full use of the Freeview ability to record several programmes at once from my TV aerial.
As a refurbed FVP-5000T 1TB it is excellent value and as new only problem is it is nowhere near as user friendly as the old Foxsat but no doubt as I get used to it it will probably get easier!”
“I am glad that I bought this item, as I could not afford a 'brand new' product. It does what I want it to do. Only downfall is that when I have paused a programme the subtitles go on and will not switch off, which is rather annoying. Sometimes it will not change channel, it asks you if you want to close the channel rather than play it. If you keep trying to change to a different channel & faffing around it will then do what you ask, but rather annoying also. On the whole would recommend if you are on a budget.”
“Refurbished but looks brand new. Arrived well packed & replaces our old Humax box which had started to show age. But it had still served us well. This box with freeview features etc is doing great job. Thoroughly recommend.”
