Freeview Play Recorder FVP-5000T 1TB (Refurbished) Reviews

4.2 Rating 334 Reviews
Nowhere as good as the FOX-T2 it replaced. Its much slower to use, button presses for functions such show recordings take ages to respond on screen so you press it again which turns it off. Why do you have to go into freeview play to see the settings for the device???? surely a button for menu or settings might be better. No light on the box to show that it has power??? Very poor machine.

Unit arrived in as new condition. Setting it up was very easy and quick. Very pleased with the fact that I can access my recordings on FVP-5000T unit from my PC on the network. Little bit disappointed with the fact that I cannot sort my recordings by series/episode number - makes it difficult to follow up the story. Also disappointed with the LiveTV app functionality and the fact that, as far as I can see, is no longer being developed. However, even with the above shortcomings, I would recommend that unit.

This is the first Humax item that I have bought and I have to say that it is far and away the most friendly and easiest TV recorder that I have used over the last 30 years.

Recorder received was in as new condition and was delivered promptly. The recorder is simple to set up and operate. I recommend the Humax FVP-5000T 1TB

Really happy with my purchase. It does everything I wanted it to do, and although it was refurbished and therefore cheaper, it and its packaging looked brand new.

Brilliant bit of kit. Love it. I have two of these and you can even watch recordings from one device on the other. Very useful. Plus you can stream live tv from the box to your smart device. Doesn’t get much better

On the one hand, this is a good machine and does what you want it to do. The disappointing thing is the overly complicated user interface. Nothing is straightforward to do: whether scheduling a recording or playing one, there are way too many questions to get the job done. If there was an option to just click and play or click and schedule, and then get out of the operation without mult-clicks. To make it easier for my mother, I've disabled all the HD channels, which at least takes an extra question away. So, it does the job but is ultimately disappointing
