“The 5000T has good functionality and seems to record reliably. The ability to record four programs at once is very handy.
The box looks reasonably pleasing and the remote, whilst large, works well. It was easy to set up and quick in finding the channels. The addition of Freeview Play is welcome.
I only have two issues. The first is that the picture seems a bit soft when comparing it to my previous box which was a Humax Youview. Secondly it refuses to control volume etc via HDMI on my LG TV which again the Youview box did.”
“Records and plays back great, it has all the right players like BBC, ITV Hub etc, would be better if it had an amazon app. It sometimes gets muddled up and needs to have the power turned off and back on again, don't know why. I have a 4000T in another room and that's the same, it seems to be a feature of Humax boxes. In a nutshell, it's a bit quirky but it does the job well and hasn't let us down yet by missing any recordings”
“Arrived well packed and in excellent condition. Some of the functionality is not as good as my previous Humax Recorder e.g. When recording HD or normal recordings different messages are displayed and it is therefore not clear that the recording has been set up. When playing back recordings you need to open up a screen to see how long the recording is as it is not displayed on the list of programs to view. However it works well and does the job.”
