Good reliable recorder however when I connected it to my Sony set-up consisting of a Sony TV and Sony sound bar it disrupted my ARC automatic hand-shakes between my Playstation and other connected equipment. It also intermittently turned my sound bar off. I had to purchase an HDMI adaptor that disconnects pin 13 to solve the issue.

Bought the FVP-5000T as a replacement for our increasingly failing HDR FOX T2. Very different and we are still getting used to it, but overall an impressive machine. My one gripe is flicking up or down channels is slow and very clunky. I tend to do this last thing at night to watch a few bits of programmes and miss out any ads. I now tend to do this on live TV rather than the Humax because it is annoying. So there is a way round it.

On the whole works as expected - annoyingly an invitation to "watch in HD" appears on the screen from time to time interrupting viewing. A pity they do not produce a FreSat version.

I have had a Humax box for some time, the recent purchase was for a relative on my recommendation, and she is as pleased with it as I am
