Freesat Recorder HDR-1100S 1TB (Refurbished) Reviews

4.2 Rating 90 Reviews
Excellent set top freesat recorder, space saving size but packed full of features. I already have three older Humax recorders but this model is very fast and efficient in use. It dose not have a digital display but it isn't needed as all is displayed on screen. 1 terabyte of storage is absolutely plenty for my usage, overall I would absolutely recommend this box to everyone. Humax models in my view are one of worlds best kept secrets that people should know about. John.

Very slow to start up you think you haven't turned it on properly, then a very slow freesat emblem shows what cr""", the fast forward can't be slowed down it goes up to either fast or play not slow down its hard to explain.we had a sky box and there is no comparison. Plus the demand no longer has channel 4.One last thing the delivery service is disgusting first humax didn't but all our address on the parcel so it went astray, humax told me it was my problem but only humax could sort it out finally when they did deliver it was left in full view of passes by, to nick! right next to my front door.NOT IMPRESSED !

I’m sorry I cannot advise this product if you are previously a SkyTV customer. The user interface is very slow as is the start up of the satellite box. It is unclear whether the box was still warming up or shutting down. The interface is okay but it is jittery and slow which makes it feel cheap. Most importantly, I had major compatibility issues with the box sending out funny signals on startup to my home theatre system. It because very complex every time I want to turn freesat on the watch TV. Also quite importantly, the TVguide only shows about two programmes per page. Shame you can’t see more upcoming programmes over the following couple of hours. I have now moved back to SkyTV for the main TV and it feels awesome. I reluctantly will have to use this box in my bedroom as I presume I cannot return the device.

Brought this to replace a Sky Q box - unfortunately dispute the product description saying it supports All 4 this is now not the case so this should be removed as it is misleading. After 3 weeks BBC iplayer now doesn't load despite restring to factory settings - resetting WiFi etc (a side note we have a non recording Humax box in the bedroom and it doesn't load on there too) in terms of customer support that is poor as well - emailed over a week ago to ask how the how can either be exchanged or returned and have yet to get a response. All in all this is the 3rd box we have brought and wish we had never started along the route of Humax - I can take a positive from the record feature as this is an easy function to use.

This is our second Humax FreeSat PVR - the last died after 3 years, somewhat disappointingly. However, there is little choice on the market, and Humax seems the best of a limited selection. Hopefully this one will last MUCH longer, since it isn't so much the cost of the device, but the loss of all the recordings which is so annoying Apart from the lifespan and inability to transfer recordings, the only criticism of the box itself is the speed of navigation - this newest generation still feels very sluggish
