Hi I have been using my Helvellyn Carbon Z-Poles for a few months now. By far the most soild and comfortable Z poles I have owned. I have been using them not only on day walks, mainly in Snowdonia but also on a multi day backpacking trips in the Pyrenees this summer. The picture shows the poles on the Col du Chapeau.

Fantastic poles, light, easy to carry, quick to out together/fold. Helped me to 2nd place in a 50 mile coast path ultra marathon.

These are great running poles that I came across after googling "best carbon running poles" and watching a random US guy reviewing and raving about them. I then did my owm research and realised they had all the capability of high end carbon poles for a fraction of the price. The adjustable height capability was a real winner for me and after taking them on their maiden run over the weekend I could not be happier. Delivery was super fast and packaging, bag, instructions etc were all first class.

Saved writing this review until after my 50k with the poles. Honestly, what a godsend they were throughout, really happy that I got them! Buying from Harrier means a great piece of kit at a good price and the poles are no exception. Stood up well to the demands of the run and straightforward to put up and break down as needed. Weight is perfect balance between being lightweight to carry, but not so lightweight that you would worry about breaking them with a misplant. Highly recommended.

These are a very nice piece of kit. Very well made, light and feel robust. I bought these to replace a cheaper brand I bought because they broke. However, there are two features of the cheaper pair which I do prefer. The Harrier pole's plastic guard around the spike is larger and gets caught in the heather and moss over which I run. This can pull on the pole when extracting and mean the pole can make a worrying clicking noise as the cable stretches. Also, the cheaper poles had a handle with uniform ribs on it so you could grip at any comfortable point instead of being limited to the ergonomic handle. I did prefer this flexibility as I held the old pair slightly differently depending on the gradient of terrain. Ultimately the old poles broke after very little use and these ones seem much stronger. I am happy with my purchase.
