With my last two boots being Grisport, and being happy with them, I came back again to try the Quatro model as I liked the idea of extra ankle support. Initially they were very comfortable and stable but I found the padding around the plastic ankle sports inside the sock liner completely inadequate and I got blisters every time I went on anything more than a moderate walk. I don't know if this is a manufacturing or design fault but for me it was not immediately apparent until after I had broke them in on a proper walk, making it difficult to return.

In October 2021 I purchased a pair of Grisport Rangers. I have worn and destroyed 3 pairs of these boots over the space of decade. The quality and wear is supreme over any other boot, civilian or military. Unfortunately I had the worst experience with Grisport's Customer Setvices Manager. I had read that customers were getting delivered a different colour Ranger boot than they had purchased so I bought from the Grisport website. 3 days later I get delivered a boot that is conpletely different than the photo and from the Ranger boot I have tried and tested over a decade. I phone Grisport and the Customer Services Manager argues blind it is "just darker due to the wax". The boot I knew was grey green, this boot was brown bordering black! So after he argues blind I tell him the product code says green and the advert says green. He then stated he couldnt alter the website but by the end of the phone coversation had personally withdrew the advert. I have been a Grisport customer since 2010. I am now on my 4th pair of Ranger boots. As a prosuct tester I have completely destroyed each boot and can say with weekly mountain use these boots last a year and a half before the eyelets break off. My experience with Rangers are they are superior over all other boots. My experience with Grisport is that my words fell on deaf ears. I was literally mis-sold a boot entirely different from the advert. I had no apology, I wasnt allowed to speak to anyone other than the customer services manager so had to redial and select the Trade Services Manager. I was humiliated and treated like I was a fool despite knowing every detail of the boot. I believe these Ranger boots are now substandard and the service sub-standard to the older version of Ranger boots.
