“A good fit and very comfortable. Downside is that I have found the grips to work well on rough terrain but awful on wet flagstones. They are very slippy.”
“Ordered a size 6 boot and they sent me size 9 to 11 socks.…..clearly no one thinks there……this is after I had to change my order as the boot that they said was in stock (and I had been waiting for it to come into stock for some time, then they sent me an email to say it was in stock) was then out of stock after I had ordered and paid and waited several days for them to pick it! Overall poor service”
“Although these are wide fit,they are the most uncomfortable boots I've ever had and i have had a few pairs in my time as i do a lot of walking
They have very little or non cushioning on the soles,they hurt under the instep and move around the heel section with little support
I have tried to wear them in but they are non forgiving and also the lace cleats bend outwards so have to keep bending them back
Plus side is they are certainly waterproof”
“One of the boots had a dent in the suede on top of the toe from when it arrived. I tried to pack it with paper to push it out but it didn't help. I thought it would go with wear but hasn't. I've had lots of pairs of Grisport boots over the years which have always been comfortable with no blisters but these gave me blisters not straight away but after a few weeks but it was after they let water in. I don't think the suede ones are as waterproof since a previous pair let water in too so a little disappointed especially given the price.”
“'Waterproof' boots no longer seem to exist, even while manufacturers make big claims on that score. The last pair I owned that were genuinely waterproof were Grisport Pennine so after many disasters with other manufacturers in the meantime I was optimistic this time. But sadly the previous Pennine model has been discontinued. So I tried Nevis instead, supposing that a waterproof outer membrane, waterproof laces, and a waterproof inner 'bootie' meant that Grisport were taking this seriously. The boots leaked on their 3rd outing... At that point, I admitted defeat and instead of sending them back as I have done with the last four or five pairs, I bought a pair of waterproof socks instead! The boots are comfortable, at least. Grisport are probaby no worse in this respect than other manufacturers, but they are certainly no better. I wasn't going to write a review but Grisport invited me to. My experience is that this is not a success story.”
“I’d love to have written a review about the Grisport Airwalker shoes, but the ones I ordered from George Rye & Sons were never delivered. G.R.S. initially argued that the fault lay with DPD and that, because I’d accepted delivery of a free gift that was supposed to come with the Airwalker, they wouldn’t be issuing a refund. They eventually changed their mind and I received a refund a week or so later. I tried to reorder the Airwalkers, but was unable to do so because they didn’t have the size available.
I’ve purchased many pairs of Grisport walking shoes and boots over the years (I replace my walking shoes every year) and have always been delighted with the quality and out-of-the-box comfort. Unfortunately, on this occasion, G.R.S. has badly let Grisport and a previously loyal customer down. Very disappointed indeed.”
“Not the best had to fit insoles as feels like iam walking with just my socks on also I have had to purchase heal pads as my feet mainly the right lifts out of the shoes when walking I have thee other pairs of grisport shoes with no problems may be the design does not suit my feet or this is not the best of quality maybe it’s time to change my brand.”
