My wife ordered a greenhouse for a gift and arranged to have it erected through greenhouse stores. The greenhouse we ordered was 6footx 6foot the greenhouse that was delivered was 2 metres by 2 metres. When the greenhouse was erected I was hanging over the side of the 8 x 6 base by 6 inches. Nothing was said to her about this and as a women alone was a little intimidated to say anything about the poor job that had been done. I rang to say that the job was poor and Ian at greenhouse stores suggested my wife was lying and that this had been discussed. He then became borderline abusive and hung up. In my experience this is a poor company that should be avoided This is a company that would appear to be happy with doing a poor job and just taking t

I bought an Eden Monarch, for a commercial installation, service was excellent, however it took the best part of a week for two men to assemble with over 900 separate parts supplied, the bolts are poor and the instructions worse. The instructions were Ikea style and often involved undoing work done previously to assemble sections later. I lost a considerable amount of money on the job and feel that If I have been a DIY gardener trying to put it up over a weekend i would have been heartbroken.

instructions need to be written not just a few not very clear diagrams. components, in sealed packets- good, but should have part number in each-who cares who packed them. In with the plastic sheets were a pack of screws but nowhere does it state what they are for.

I am having a problem with the clips that hold the glass in place, three clips that are behind the door frame keep coming loose and I am afraid that a strong wind may loosen the glass and have it fall out, could you suggest a solution to the problem. kind regards, C Docherty

Despite using large spirit level to make a level brick base there were 2 problems. One end section of glass did not sit well and we needed to slightly enlarge one end bolt hole. The worst problem is that the sliding roof panels are not easy to slide as they jam when pushed.

There have been a few problems but overall, so far, I'm fairly pleased with the structure. 1. Although I've previously assembled a greenhouse, I decided to pay to have it assembled. Had it not been for that, I doubt whether I would have been able to persuade you that there were pieces missing, which there were. As a consequence, the assembly could not be completed, and the parts were not shipped from Denmark (was it?) in time for the second date to be useful. As we both work, it was difficult to continue to make time for something that should have been completed in one go. 2. Your website goes on about a 'free base' for the structure. Having telephoned your company and asked whether the structure could be fixed directly to a flat concrete base, I was told that it could not, and that the base is an essential component to increase rigidity and so forth. A bit puzzling, bearing in mind that a solid concrete bed is, well, exactly that. Nevertheless, if it is essential, why is it supplied as 'an extra bonus', if it is indeed integral to the structure? This is misleading and quite frankly, just naive and unnecessary 3. It's brand new, but in the high wind recently, one of the doors blew out and I found it bent forward and touching the ground - fortunately with the glass intact. The greenhouse I assembled about 20 years ago has been completely unaffected by the weather. It seems that the strip of metal under the sliding door was so flimsy that it was able to bend down far enough to let the door come free of the roller at the top and blow down. The two metal flanges bent and I had to sort it out (I hope). 4. It wasn't clear from the website that the structure leaks in the corners, which it does, and which, apparently, they always do. Used as a summerhouse, which is what is shown on your website, this has considerable significance for the type of flooring chosen.

Greenhouse stores provided a good service. However, we were not as pleased with the greenhouse. It looks lovely now it's finished (2 months to totally complete the project working at weekends). But it was an absolute nightmare to put together. My husband is an aircraft design engineer so he is more than capable. He was not a happy bunny. Very poor, unclear and sometimes clearly incorrect instructions. Even the top of the sealant was the wrong size. He did a lot of bespoke get as he went on. He said he would never build one again. We still have leaks but apart from that it looks lovely.
