“What a beautiful, hands-on day! Our guide, Huong, was a delight—so friendly and enthusiastic about sharing Bat Trang’s history and secrets. The drive from Hanoi was smooth and air-conditioned. We started with a visit to a local artisan’s studio where we saw pottery being thrown, painted, and glazed. Then we had our own chance to play with clay—it was surprisingly therapeutic! Lunch was served in a charming hidden café in the village and was one of the best we had in Vietnam. We ended the day exploring quiet alleys and shopping at the pottery market.
