The clay-making experience was interactive and fun, even for my younger son. We loved seeing traditional kilns, hearing stories about the craft, and walking through the narrow streets of Bat Trang. Lunch was flavorful and freshly made by a local family. The tour ended with a shopping spree at the market, where Mai Anh helped us negotiate some amazing ceramic pieces to take home. This felt like a very genuine cultural experience.”

The pottery workshop was well-guided, and the artisans were so kind. I even made a little cup I’m oddly proud of! The ancient village was photogenic and peaceful, with lots of opportunities to learn and relax. We had lunch in a beautiful garden courtyard, and then I got to shop from some of the most stunning ceramics I’ve ever seen. Yen helped me choose and pack fragile pieces so they’d survive my flight.
