“Brilliant cruise - we've done loads of river cruises but this was the first in the UK and it was just great. The weather wasn't good to start with but Jay (the MD) and crew reorganised everything and it all went well. The food was excellent, and the crew were really helpful and friendly. Highlights: Wildlife on the canal and river, the onboard entertainment, and I steered the ship (for a little while)!”

“We had a great time aboard the 'Edward Elgar', the crew looked after us very well and the food was very special. The weather and river level caused the itinerary to be changed so that we had to do things in a different order, but we still did most things as described. Problems with the boat were overcome by the crew and company owner. Everyone on the cruise were very friendly which made the cruise very enjoyable. We would recommend it for a relaxing and enjoyable time.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the "Edward Elgar", in no small part due to the friendly and helpful staff/crew. No effort was spared to cater for our dietary requirements and the food was excellent. Excursions were superb, the only criticism being that we could perhaps have done with a little more time at one or two venues. When heavy rainfall led to an exceptional rise in the river level preventing the passage through locks, alternative arrangements were made which were much appreciated.”

“Crew were superb. Noting was too much trouble and always accompanied by a smile. Felt that the daily diary was sometimes too much squeezed into too short a time. Maybe just one 'event' per day to allow relaxation and 'cruising' to be enjoyed. 'Brown' water for washing not enjoyable!. My shower at home ran brown when I washed my hair!! Food/Menu well balanced but lacked sufficient flavour on occasions - and soda bread/muffin far too hard to handle!. In conclusion, good value for money (in spite of single supplement) well organised - a unique experience.”
