“My preferred location to park at Edinburgh airport. Quick to get in and out of the terminal. Had an issue with the barriers not reading my number plate and trying to charge me nearly a week worth of parking even though I had pre-booked but help from a customer service agent was available straight away and issue solved within minutes. Great service. Thank you”
“Coming from Newcastle I have used pre paid terminal parking many times without issue. However this time on exit the barrier said I owed £510. I could not get an answer from the intercom. I had to reverse to another to try (fortunately no one was behind). Same £510 owed on ticket however this time the intercom answered and lifted the barrier. Not what you want when you are tired after a full day of travel. I will be back in October and hope for a slightly better experience”
“It is essential to allow more time than you might think to find an empty parking place. Zig-zagging up and down the lines takes patience. The parking places are reasonably generous, but it is important to park dead centre, to allow access for manoeuvering luggage.
There should be a dropped kerb for almost the entire width of the multi-story building. There is not, which thereby fails to make walking or pulling luggage onto the raised pavement below the bulding as easy as it should be.
There are not enough pedestrian crossings traversing internal roadways. We happened on some building works that closed both ends of ours, meaning a dead lift down and a dead lift back up on the other side.
The weather protected sidewalk on the farther side of the parking is rather narrow as it serves not just the parking but also other travel modes. Goodness knows what it is like in busy periods.
As I said at the start, we were able to get to the terminal calmly, mostly because we allowed masses of time. Boy did we need it once we got inside, but that is another story!”
“Not easy to find. The directions on the email weren’t great. We incurred an £8.50 charge for a 30 second entry in the drop off area of the car park due to a wrong turn. The barrier didn’t rise or recognise my car and as we tried to leave, I was advised we owed £270 due to the barrier issue on entry. You can’t call anyone and as of last Thursday I’m still waiting on a response from only option to contact them online form. Awful experience.”
“I prebooked parking which was seamless. Unfortunatly when weent to leave, the ticket barrier did not recognise my booking/reg rumber and asked me for payment of £90! Thankfully using the call button the operator did remedy it and open the barrier for me to leave.”
“Car park was very full struggled to find a space and when I went to leave after pre paying, the machine said I was due £90, presses for help and the guys wasn’t pleased and rude”
“Not sure who or how - but parked my van for a couple of days and when i got home its been marked … not the car parks fault but said that people dont look after others peoples property- and the fact i paid £140ish for a couple of days”
